Exactly 1 year ago today (February 2nd 2008) was my last day at Nellie Gail. After spending 10 years at the same place, doing the same thing day to day, and working with the same people. I took a huge leap out of my comfort zone and decided it was time to move on and try to find a "real" job.
I have been at my "real" job for just over 7 months. And while I am enjoying the challenge I often wonder "What the heck am I doing?"
I struggle daily not to answer the telephone "Nellie Gail this is Lindsay" and I have only called my new boss (Mike) by my old bosses name (Bob) 2 times...to his face.

I know deep down, that I made the right decision...but I still feel like the new girl and am not quite as comfortable with the "Art Industry" as I was with the "Tennis & Swim Industry"
One of these days, I know I'll begin to feel comfortable.
But until then....I still do miss my old job....
I miss my old boss.
I miss being called "Schmo"
I miss my old co-workers. (Sometimes) :)
I miss the flexibility.
I miss the day to day routine.
I miss the tennis members (some of them).
I miss the normalcy, (whatever that is.)
I miss getting home by 3pm
I miss (some of) the kids.
I miss working less than 30 seconds away from home.

I don't miss whining kids.
I don't miss bossy & inconsiderate members.
I don't miss working on Holidays.
I don't miss getting the phone call at all hours of the night when the alarm went off.
I don't miss working on the weekend.
I don't miss stressing over the daily batches not being correct.
I Do Miss ....
