We all have our birthdays within a month of each other.
So last night we celebrated THIRTY-ONE at Javier's in Crystal Cove.

Also, Jacob turns ONE years old on Cinco de Mayo, but I will be in Portland the weekend of his birthday party for Estelle's graduation... so we technically celebrated all four of our birthdays!!

Key's, Fire and a Glue Gun

(NERD ALERT) I have googled a lot of crafting blogs to look at what other people do, get inspired and because I just like to see how creative and artsy people are.
Well, in one of my blog stalking moments I found a few fun projects with Skeleton Keys....I love them and knew I would re-create it somehow.

This is one of the key projects that I found and wanted to re-create.

First, I found a old book and ripped pages out of it.

Then I had a fun 15 minutes becoming a Pyromaniac and burning the pages.
(Only one page burned to much and I had to drop it in the dog water bowl, other than that no close calls)

Burned edges

NERD ALERT #2: I purchased a glue gun

Back drop is done.

3 keys in place and ready to be glued
(I found the keys at a local antique shop and bought all 3 for about $15)

My very own creation...glued, framed and TAAA DAAA

I LOVE IT, now I just need a wall to put it on!! :)

Brother Sister Pic

A much need shot of Patron Silver... Tyler is having fun and happy, I swear.

See, I told you he's having FUN!!

So are the parents... HA HA

I can never remember the order in which you take a shot of tequila with salt and a lime. My dad taught me a little secret and how to remember the order. He said to think of the Mormons, yes that's right a tequila shot and MORMONS!!!
All you need to remember is = L.D.S
L = Lick the salt
D = Drink the shot
S = Suck the lime
Thanks Dad for the tip and very cleaver :)

Shot number 2, I think?

I can take shots like a PRO - but I might not be very pretty at it!!
haha...good timing on the Pic Mom!!
And so embarrassing, but too good not to share

All you need is Love & A Dog

First off I can't believe that I have actually have been "crafty" 2 times this month .... weird!

After Tyler and Estelle's wedding this summer we took a trip to Bend, Oregon to visit friends. One day we were shopping in downtown Bend and went into this little gift shop. I saw this sign and loved it, however I didn't want to spend the crazy money on it.
So now that I am "crafty" I decided to re-create it.

The good thing about working at an art school is that I managed to get these 2 canvases for FREE!!
2 White 8 x 8 White canvases turned Purple

Stickers in place

Framed and glazed...I'm keeping this one.

Stickers #2 and this I will give to My Brother and Estelle - Also Dog Lovers!
