H.O.P.E

3 years of working at an art college and my addiction to HGTV has made me want to be crafty.

So here's my first project...

I have TONS and TONS of old magazines laying around so I went thought them all and ripped all pages that were PURPLE!

Magazines, Mod Podge and a White Canvas

Pretty, PURPLE Magazine Mosaic.

Fire Truck & Photo Booth

Mother nature was on our side today...the rain stayed away and the sun was out at LCAD and just in time for "Spring Fling"

About every other month our AMAZING Student Services Director puts on events for the Students. Today we had our "Spring Fling" event.

She found this old fully functioning fire truck that was converted into a pizza parlor. They cooked the best thin crust pizza's in an oven right on the top of the truck. It was GREAT

Then she had the snow cone people come back..... always a hit!!

And last but not least, she hired a photo booth to come and take pictures...I think its the best idea she's had yet.

And if you're wondering... Staff and Faculty enjoys these events just as much, if not more than the students :)

The Pizza Serving Fire Truck...yum!

PDX Family visits the OC

This weekend the Stryker & Boer clan came down to So.Cal for a Disneyland visit. (Wyatt & Braxton's first time D-Land)
And Uncle Larry & Aunt Jill's first visit to our house in at least 15 years. They are always so generous when we come to Washington. So it was such a nice change to have them down in our town and host them for a change...we LOVED having them, even if it was just a short visit!

While I was unable to go to D-land with them...we were very lucky to see them 2 different times. The first time they came to our house for a fun pizza dinner. Sorry, only 1 picture to share. And on Saturday night we met them in Anaheim at the Cheesecake Factory.

The only pic I have of the boys at our house.
They had me download a "Fart Noise" App on my iPhone... Yes, they are BOYS and now I have a fart app on my phone...Only for them!

I think the smile says it all...Braxton loved his desert!!

Wyatt to busy enjoying desert to look up.

Big Dinner + Yummy Desert's = FULL Belly's

Missing a few family members (E-Strykers, Farr's and Schmitt's) ...hopefully one of these day's we'll get the WHOLE family down to So.Cal!! (HINT HINT) :)

My most favorite oldest and bestest cousin, Kena!!

Kena and I couldn't resist taking a picture with the Shrimp.
We did embarrass Wyatt while we were at it, but how many chances do you get to take a picture with a giant, dancing shrimp with a Top hat on!!

THANKS FOR VISITING...COME BACK SOON!! xoxo
