Goodbye NGTC...

Hello LCAD...
I worked at The Tennis Club for over 10 years. Doing everything from being the coach of the Jr. Team Tennis Leagues, to Coaching Tennis Camp and the Junior Programs, to being the slave at the Front Desk and eventually running the office. In February of last year, I officially decided to move on...leaving behind the only job I had really ever known and completely getting out of my comfort zone. I had tried to leave before, but always ended up right back where I started. But, this time I left for good and had NO idea what I was going to do.........
Thankfully, a great member at the tennis club helped me and told me of a Temp Agency! I was placed almost immediately at a CPA firm in Newport Beach and worked during their busy season answering phones, scanning and whatever other miscellaneous tasks they came up with. During this time, I went on many interviews and sent out a COUNTLESS number of resumes and prayed that something would work out.
After nearly 5 months working in CPA land, my neighbor's fiance' knew of a possible job opening where she worked and said that she would keep her ears open and let me know if anything opened up! Sure enough she handed off my resume and put in a good word for me and I got a call for an interview at the Laguna College of Art + Design, in Laguna Beach! I had one interview for a position in the Admission Department and got a call the next day offering me the job. I started that next Monday and its been a whirlwind ever since!
The job is great...a definite change!! I am still getting used to artist who are very very different than the tennis players / athletes I am use to working with! I have met many great people, and am learning to appreciate art!
